THYME

Sun loving, low water groundcovers and uprights

with fragrant foliage and colorful flowers.

They are versatile perennials that can be used in many ways

including in herb gardens,

rock gardens, borders and paths.

Thymus x citriodorus - Lemon Thyme

Evergreen subshrub 10” x 18” with lemon scented leaves. Pale lavender pink flowers in summer. Full sun, well-drained soil. Shear in spring & lightly after bloom. Hardy to 0 degrees F Lamiaceae

Thymus fragrantissumus – Orange Thyme

Upright perennial to 8” with gray green foliage athat is strongly orange-scented Pink flowers in summer. Full sun, well-drained soil. Hardy to -10 degrees F Lamiaceae

One of our Favorites!

This carpeting thyme resembles a miniature creeping juniper, with narrow, scale-like leaves packed along the stem. The growth habit is of interest as well, with stems radiating out along the ground or over the edge of a container in a star-like pattern. It has gray-green foliage and medium pink flowers in early spring. 1”x16” Full sun, well drained soil, low water. Hardy to -20 degrees F. Lamiaceae

Our plant is close in appearance , but may not actually be, the species Thymus neiceffii.
