We like this oldtime favorite garden plant in the large-scale rock garden.  It adds color contrast and texture with its attractive, white wooly leaves and lilac flower July through Sept. This cultivar has smaller leaves and a more compact form than the species.  It is an attractive 2” groundcover  with spikes of lilac-plum flowers to 10”.  Full sun, well drained soil. Hardy to -20 degrees F Lamiaceae
