Branching shrub with dense clusters of pink flowers that attract butterflies to the garden in early summer.    Nice fall color.  Sun to part shade, moderate water. Hardy to -30 degrees  F  Rosaceae

Found in meadows, rocky slopes and along streams in mountains of the Western states.  The seeds from our stock were collected on Mt Hood, Oregon
