Upright Wild Ginger

Unusual rhizomatous perennial with fuzzy heart-shaped leaves and creamy yellow flowers.   24 x 30"  Found only in China where it grows in forests and moist areas.  Prefers part to full shade and moist, acidic soil.  Hardy to -20 degrees or more. Aristolochiaceae

Used in traditional Chinese medicine, it is now endangered in the wild.
