This strongly peppermint scented, low growing groundcover has tiny lilac flowers in summer.   It grows only 1/2" high and creeps along the ground to form a low mat.  It needs part to full shade and moist soil.  Native to moist shady habitats in France (including Corsica, of course) and Italy.  Hardy to –10 degrees F. Lamiaceae
