A handsome upright, woody perennial 6”
x 6” with lance-shaped, dark green leaves and bright yellow flowers
in summer. Grow in full sun in light, sharply-drained soil with low
to moderate water. Protect from excessive winter wet, although they
have survived our winters fine in our raised scree bed. Grow
in rock garden, scree bed, alpine house, trough. Hardy to -20 degrees F.
The species is native to steppes of C. and S. Europe. Linaceae
