This charming evergreen creeps along the ground with rooting stems and produces pairs of delicate, fragrant pale pink, bell-shaped flowers in spring. 3” x 12”. Grow in part to full shade in moist, well-drained, humus rich soil. Hardy to –30 degrees F. This subspecies is found along the eges of coniferous forests in the Cascades north to Alaska.
