Alpine Toadflax

Tiny trailing perennial 2” high by 6” wide with gray-green foliage, violet and orange flowers in summer. Grow in sun to light shade in sandy soil with moderate water.   Use in rock gardens, scree beds, crevices, rock walls, troughs.   We find its tendency to self sow into the most inhospitable cracks and crevices quite charming.  Zones 4-9. Scrophulariaceae
