| Catches the eye of almost every nursery visitor with its unusual small silver-gray leaves on erect stems. After four years in cultivation we have yet to see its white daisylike flowers. Perhaps this year. It has increased slowly to a size of about 5”tall x 6” wide. We have had good luck growing it in a trough with sharp soil and regular water in a cool sunny location. It has done fine in the cold months when temperatures have dropped into the teens. Asteraceaee Update #1: After 4 years, we have full bloom! Take a look. Update #2: Year 5 & 6, unfortunately, the seeds produced have not germinated. Fortunately, the plants divide well and we can now offer them for sale. This is a true alpine with all the highs and lows! |
