A common and beautiful wildflower of the Western States with dissected leaves and spikes of bright reddish-orange tubular flowers in summer. 30" X 12" Sun to part sun, tolerates poor soil and low water. Biennial but reseeds. The red tubular flowers attract hummingbirds. Hardy to –30 degrees F. Polemoniaceae
