Rocky Mountain monocarpic species grows 8” high and produces very large yellow flowers after sometimes years in cultivation.   Cool, sunny location, gritty soil, regular water.   Hardy to -10 degrees F. Asteraceae .

This western North American native is found in moist sites at higher elevations.  Give it a cool, sunny location and regular water.   Can grow up to 3 feet tall.  A bright and sunny plant that reseeds freely.  Zones 3-8.  Asteraceae .
