San Bernadino Mountain Heuchera

Rosettes of dark green, scalloped leaves and spikes of white to pink flowers in summer.  6 x 6"  Grow in partial shade in well-drained soil, regular water.   Hardy to –10 degrees F.    Saxifragaceae

 

 

 


Heuchera cylindrica var alpina

 

 

AlpineHeuchera

This population of the Alpine Heuchera forms miniature mounds of tiny leaves 1" high and produces dense spikes to 6" high of yellow flowers.  Sun to part shade in very gritty, well-drained soil with regular water.     Hardy to –20 degrees F.   Saxifragaceae

Grown from seed collected by Ron Ratko in the Wallowa Mountains at 8350 feet.  He describes "gem for small troughs" that "retains its compact habit in cultivation."

Sandia Mountain Heuchera

Mounds of delicate, green scalloped leaves and many spikes of pink flowers in summer.   Sun to part shade in well-drained soil, regular water.   To 6” tall.   Hardy to –20 degrees F.  Found in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico where it grows in crevices and clinging to rock faces.   Saxifragaceae
