Found in Central and Southern European alpine and subalpine meadows and grasslands. Rosaceae

Large, deeply toothed leaves and bright yellow flowers.  Rhizomatous perennial spreads by runners.    6” x 8”    Sun to part shade in very sharply drained soil.  Scree bed.  Zones 5-9. Native to the Balkans, Alps and Carpathians. Rosaceae

Upright perennial with nodding, salmon-colored flowers and red-brown calyx.   8” x 8”    Sun to part shade in fertile, moist soil.  Adapts well to garden conditions.  Zones 3-8.   Meadows of North American and throughout the Northern Hemisphere.  Rosaceae
