Gaultheria procumbens has bright red berries in fall and winter.

  Wintergreen

Evergreen, spreading subshrub with wintergreen scented leaves, urn-shaped flowers in summer, and bright red berries in fall and winter.  6" x 36”.  Grow in part shade in moist to dryish, acidic soil.  Eastern North American native.  Hardy to -40 degrees. Ericaceae

Dwarf Chilean Checkerberry

Known as Chaura in Chile

Evergreen subshrub to 3 1/2" tall with small dark green leaves, branching, dark stems and large, edible white berries in fall and winter.  Grow in sun to part shade in moist, acidic soil.  A common plant found in the Andes at elevations up to 12,000 ft.  Hardy to -10 degrees F. Ericaceae
