Dwarf Fothergilla

An easy to please and vigorous deciduous shrub that can reach 3-5 feet high and wide with honey scented, fragrant white bottlebrush-like flowers in early spring.  Excellent fall color.

Sun to partial shade in well drained soil with moderate water     Hardy to -20 degrees  F.  Hamamelidaceae

This cultivar is believed to be a hybrid cross of F. gardenii and F. major.  It was discovered at Mt Airy Arboretum in Cincinnati by horticulturist Michael Dirr.
