Himalayan Maidenhair Fern

Lovely, lacey green fronds with black stems to 12" high. A slowly creeping groundcover,  it is decisious in colder climates.  Grow in partial sun in moist, humus rich soil.   Does not tolerate drought.  Can also be grown as a houseplant.  Hardy to -20 degrees  F.  Pteridaceae

Kaye's Lacerated Harts Tongue Fern

This is a compact fern with broad, jagged fronds to 12" that spread slowly by creeping rhizomes.  Grow in gritty, moist soil in part shade.  Great tucked into crevices and rock walls.   Hardy to -20 degrees  F.   Aspleniaceae

Japanese Painted Fern

This very handsome fern produces clumps of 12-18" long fronds of metallic silver-gray foliage with maroon mid-ribs.  Grow in morning sun to full shade in moist, humus rich soil.   Best foliage color is achieved if given some sun.  Does not tolerate drought.  Hardy to -30 degrees  F.   Eastern Asia  Dryopteridaceae
