Erythronium

Commonly known as Fawn Lilies, Trout Lilies or Dog Tooth Violets, Erythronium are spring blooming bulbous perennials.  They have showy and colorful flowers and naturalize over time creating colonies in the open woodland or meadow garden. Their foliage dies back to the ground after flowering only to re-emerge in greater numbers the following spring.
