Tufted groundcover with violet red flowers May-July.   Sun to part shade, gritty, well drained soil. Can be short-lived but self sows. 3”x4”. Use in troughs, rock gardens, crevices, rock walls, along paths.   Hardy to -30 degrees F.  Native to the mountains of Central and Southern Europe.   Scrophulariaceae
