This is a very striking silver-blue grass 18-24” high and wide with wheat colored flower panicles to 36” in summer. It will grow in sun to part shade, in well drained soil and is fairly drought tolerant once established. It does not do well in humid summer climates and may need some shade in hot areas. Blue wheatgrass is evergreen in our climate but we do run a rake through it in the spring to easily remove the old foliage. Native to Southern Chile and Argentina. Hardy to -10 degrees F. Poaceae |
