Creates a carpet of oak-like leaves with bold, white flowers April thru June, then striking seed heads.  4” X 36” Grow in full sun with moderate water in well drained, gritty, acidic soil.   Choice rock garden plant. Zones 1-7.  Arctic-alpine of the N hemisphere. Rosaceae
