A groundcover that spread by rhizomes with attractive leaves that turn red in fall.   Showy white flower bracts in early summer, followed by red berries.  8" x indefinite.Grow in cool sun to part shade in moist, acidic soil.  Widespread distribution in Northern temperate mountain woodlands.  Hardy to -50 degrees F.  Cornaceae
