Purslane

 

A small plant with tufts of narrow gray-green leaves with bright  yellow flowers in summer.  Grow in full sun in sharply drained soil.  2” x 4”  Hardy to -10 degrees F.  This species is reported to have been found in Patagonia. Portulacaceae

Rock Purslane

 

Tufts of narrow gray-green leaves with cup-shaped, crimson flowers in summer.   Grow in full sun in sharply drained soil.   6” x 6”   Hardy to 10 degrees F.  Native to dry, rocky areas of Chile and Argentina.  Portulacaceae
