This pretty little rock jasmine is found in alpine meadows in the Caucasus. It is a short-lived species but does reseed fairly easily. It forms a dense rosette with distinctive ruffled appearing leaves, a thick flower stalk with clusters of white or pink flowers. It grows best in partial shade in, gritty, sharply drained soil and grit topdress. Nice trough plant. Hardy to -20 degrees F. Primulaceae
